Boat is bought.  Did I just say that quietly? THE BOAT IS BOUGHT! Well almost.  Monies have been transferred and we are just waiting for the paperwork.  I'm setting up mission control in the spare room. Started with what I thought was a very big map/pinboard to plot our route but unfortunately it is actually not that big.  Ah well!

 

Now I'm trying to work out the best way of documenting our adventure.  Chapter one is going to be the refit and recommissioning programme.  I feel there may be a need for some detail.  Hopefully this blog can act as a sort of inspiration for people looking at undertaking this sort of adventure themselves, as well as a practical guide and a documentation of our probable struggles.  We haven't really learnt much yet.  But then maybe we have. There wasn't much that came back in the survey that we didn't expect.  And two months ago we knew nothing about boats.  Maybe that should be my first proper post...
